An ancient witch finds a human teenager at her front door. How did she even get here in the first place?
Summary of “The Lost Witch” on Archive of Our Own
While this is technically an original work, it is heavily inspired by The Owl House characters. In fact, if you changed the teenager’s name to Luz Noceda and the witch’s name to Eda Clawthorne it would probably make a lot more sense. But I decided to keep it like this.
There is actually a really random backstory behind the writing of this story, and that is the fact that the whole thing (except for some very minor revision and formatting later on) was written on the NFC Tag Reader/Writer App GoToTags.
Now, you might be thinking, “What the hell? Why?”. Well, I had a reason… and that reason is that I was testing a new NFC tag and a new desktop NFC reader. The NFC tag is an 8KB tag and so I needed test data that is around that big, I could’ve used random data for it but nooo… my brain decided it was a good idea to write a story in the tiny little text box and my adhd brain hyperfocus mode activated and I spent however long it was to write 7523 bytes of fictional story of a teenager and a witch.
Also, I still keep this story in an NFC Tag inside of my wallet…
